Designer Favs: 2023 Colors of the Year

New Year, New Color!

Considering a new look for your home in 2023? Color is one of the easiest ways to transform your home. Whether it’s a pop of color in some new accessories or a complete transformation, we love infusing color into our designs. Ready to ‘ring in the new year’ by dipping your toe into the color pool? Keep reading as we take a look at the colors of the year from Sherwin Williams, Pantone, and Benjamin Moore to find out what colors and palettes we can expect to see more of and our own recommendations for incorporating them into your home!

According to Pantone’s color report, we will be seeing a lot of magenta throughout the year and Tracy is all for it! Tracy would love to see Viva Magenta as an accent wall color and in furnishing accessories. Her tip? If you prefer a softer look, Tracy suggests expanding your palette to include different tones of pink with some pops of Viva Magenta color.

Sherwin Williams’ Colormix Forecast for 2023 includes four different color palettes inspired by our natural interaction with ourselves and space. Calie’s favorite is the Biome palette – a perfect balance of dark contrasts and warm neutrals including a few popular classics: Urban Bronze, Silvermist and Shiitake. If you want a dimensional look but don’t know where to start, these color palettes are a great guide to building a room that is visually arresting yet cohesive in feel.

From Stefanie comes a second vote for Pantone’s Color of the Year, Viva Magenta. Stefanie is a firm believer that a room should have at least one feature that stands out and grabs your attention and Viva Magenta does exactly that! Rich and bold, even a small touch, such as a vase with Viva Magenta blooms, will add interest to your space. Fun fact- she also loves that is similar to the raspberry color in our company logo!

Prefer soft neutrals? Then you’re perfectly aligned with Stephanie! Her front runner among the 2023 colors of the year is Sherwin Williams’ Redend Point. Warm and inviting, it illuminates a softness that reels you in, conveying warmth and comfort. Stefanie’s advice? Don’t limit yourself. This color is perfect for everything from pillows to walls and even cabinets!
