– Upcycled Outdoor Fabrics–
As interior designers in the Twin Cities, it is important to us not only to create homes that are beautifully yours but to incorporate products and processes that are sustainable. That sentiment is why we are drawn to the recently launched outdoor fabric collection from InsideOut Performance Fabrics ®. With these fabrics, sustainability doesn’t have to be compromised in the name of style or function.
Envision an outdoor lounging area radiating comfort, design, and function. Now add in an impactful sustainability component from InsideOut fabrics. This pioneering fabric collection is made from marine litter. As unbelievable as it sounds, plastic salvaged from ocean cleanups around the world is upcycled into plastic yarn and then woven into highly durable fabrics intended for outdoor and other heavy-use applications. These fabrics are bleach cleanable and fade resistant. The collection is texturally surprising with varied patterns to match even the most sophisticated setting.
For background, the SEAQUAL INITIATIVE is a collaborative community that works with ocean cleanups around the world to bring value to the waste they recover. To date, SEAQUAL INITIATIVE has transformed more than 200 tons of marine litter and cleaned more than 600 tons of waste from our oceans.
