September Trend: Western

The western look has gone beyond bohemian. This fall, the style has taken on new meaning in both interior design and fashion as a chic way to add some rustic flare to your home or wardrobe.

Dior’s Resort 2018 show and models on the Calvin Klein runway have fast-tracked this style’s popularity. Instead of going “full western”, many people are taking notes from the Old West and incorporating an item or two into their daily looks. Suede, corduroy, and denim can all be styled into a modern-western outfit.

Although it may be time to put away the denim skirts, there are plenty of ways to add some cowgirl-vibes to your look as the weather cools down. Corduroy pants and jumpers, fringe jackets, overalls, and cowboy boots make great staples for your fall wardrobe. As far as your home goes, try adding a faded leather chair for a rustic, masculine feel (plus, the chair above by Lee Industries is super comfy and durable!) The farmhouse style can be similar to a western look, as well. Wooden tables and stools can be styled give a space a ranch feel.

How do you feel about the western trend? Are you more likely to incorporate it in your wardrobe, home, or both? Let us know!
